After a galant fight Steve Jones came across the line in second place behind Danish Le Mans driver Allan Simonsen in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
9, needing only a steady drive to the finish at the front. Targa West winner Steve Jones, second in Modern today in a Nissan R35 GT-R, said the
roads were some of the best in Australia.
“I thought the Tasmanian roads were the hardest, but the roads here are awesome. It’s a
huge challenge,” Jones said.
“I really enjoyed the fact the stages are so close to the city. It’s very central and convenient -
I’d come here in a hire car, I like it so much.”
To all at Fabcar - Your name says it all for me, I brought my 1993 Skyline GT-R from you about two years ago and I must say it is the best car I have ever bought. This beautiful car has never stopped running, it has only had the normal services. The car is still original including the paintwork. I'm not a young person so I have had a lot of cars since I've been driving. I wish to thank you and your staff for all the help they have given over this time, even when I just pull in for a chat.
