Congratulations to Alex, Blake, Nathan and Tamim from Rostrata Primary School, who competed in the Formula 1 Technology Challenge. Team Phoenix approached a number of sponsors in the middle part of the year to assist with their F1 campaign, Fabcar was happy to assist.
The Formula One Technology Challenge is an exciting, innovative and modern science, math and engineering action learning activity. With hundreds of schools Australia-wide already active, the F1 in Schools program is ideal for all schools, being easy to integrate into a wide range of curriculum areas, or as an extra curricula activity.
The Formula 1 race day was held last Thursday (26th November 2009). Although team Phoenix did not qualify for the finals they were not far away. The cars shoot along a 25m track. The times for Phoenix were … auto start – 1.376 sec (ave speed 65.4kmh), trigger starts - 1.736sec, 1.535 sec and 1.683 sec
The team looked extremely professional in their sponsored attire, and represented their sponsors, schools and themselves professionally. From all the Fabcar Racing Team – we would like to thank team Phoenix and wish them all the best for their future endeavors.
