About Fabcar Racing Fabcar Racing was originally the autowholesale.com.au Racing Team that started its sponsorship of Motorsport Racing back in 2001. The early days were dedicated to Rally events, in particular the sponsorship and involvement with TV presenter and Malaysian Rally Champion, Tolley Challis in an Evo 5. This involvement soon progressed to where Fabcar, in addition to sponsoring Rally, also progressed into involvement in local Motorsport events such as Max Auto Action at Belmont Racecourse.The idea behind this involvement was to get the range of vehicles that Fabcar offers in front of the motorsport community.

Soon enough Fabcar commenced sponsorship of Targa West, and was the official vehicle supplier for the event from 2005 (its inaugural year) through to date. Fabcar has supplied approximately 16 vehicles each year as safety and officials cars; as well as entering the event with its own participants. 2008 and 2009 were the pinnacle with our very own Steve Jones taking outright honours in the modern Competition in awesome back to back wins. This was no mean task against some of the great drivers and tarmac rally legends such as Jim Richards. In 2011 Fabcar was also ecstatic with a fourth place by long term client Ross Hamilton and Tony Robson in a Fabcar supplied Evo 8 MR, again no small feat when comparing its competition and disadvantage in terms of horsepower.

The official Fabcar Racing Team was launched on the 23rd January 2008 in front of a packed audience that media, Industry people, racing fraternity and general enthusiasts. The launch also was the first viewing of the Nissan R35. Two of these machines were imported literally days after their Japan Global release and shipped to Fabcar. We thought that it would be  a great opportunity to launch our race team and showcase an Australian first. VIP guests had the opportunity to see and touch the most anticipated car release in over a decade. The rest is history,  a win at Targa West 2008 and lots of travelling to various interstate events.

Fabcar prides itself on its extensive knowledge of vehicles as the Nissan GT-R and Mitsubishi Evolution.

With the loss of Max Auto Action events, Fabcar took on its own event, with the collaboration of Motoring Events expert, Mr Paul Blank. And so The Fabcar 1 Day Rally was born in 2008, with a record sell out of places, literally only a couple of days. This event provided Fabcar with an opportunity to showcase some vehicles, and again put us in front of the Motorsport enthusiasts.

In addition to these local events, Fabcar has participated in numerous calendar events such as Targa Tasmania, Targa Wrest Point, Classic Adelaide, Mt Buller Sprint, Duttons Rally.
